Sew: Scout Tees

MakingLiz Tubman2 Comments

I've had these Scout Tees finished for a few months and they've proved to be a major part of my summer wardrobe.  These two versions were probably the third and fourth time making this pattern (over a period of probably a year) and I've finally got it down.  I definitely had to get back into a groove when I started sewing again, and this simple yet incredibly wearable pattern helped me do just that. With very few pattern pieces and basic sewing techniques like bias necklines, this is a great pattern if you're new to sewing but it's also great for building up your handmade wardrobe if you're a more experienced seamstress.

Pattern: Scout Tee from Grainline Studio

Fabric: 100% cotton from JoAnn Fabrics (both are Lotta Jansdotter prints)

Size: Version 1 (navy) is a size 8; Version 2 (white & yellow) is a size 6

Modifications: For Version 2, I kept the length the same as the size 8 version.

PS. That awesome geode pendant necklace I'm wearing is from my sister's Etsy shop: The Little Roost Collective!
