Sew: Moss Mini Skirt

MakingLiz TubmanComment

This project was a great step up in my sewing skills and a huge staple in my summer wardrobe.  It was my first time putting in a zipper or a fly and Jen's sew-a-long instructions made it seem really simple by breaking everything down into little steps.  I love the big pockets in this skirt - they're so comfy and roomy.  The only step I had trouble with was attaching the waistband; I ended up with one little wrinkle while easing the waistband to the skirt body but I'm probably the only one who notices it while I'm wearing it.  For my next version, I'm going to use the updated pattern (Jen added more markings on the waistband and a little extra length to the skirt) and a woven fabric other than denim to change it up.

Pattern: Moss Mini Skirt, View A from Grainline Studio
