Pattern: Penny Scarf

Guys, I'm SO excited to share my first knitting pattern with you today!  I've been thinking and brainstorming about design ideas for awhile now, and while I still feel like a new knitter in lots of ways, I'm jumping into designing with both feet!

The Penny Scarf is the first in a series of patterns called Beginnings designed especially for the new knitter.  These patterns will build basic knitting techniques while giving the knitter a beautiful and very functional finished object.  The best thing about these patterns?  They're all going to be free.  I'm learning as I go with pattern writing so I want to be able to share these with as many new knitters as possible while learning myself.

Penny is a wonderfully warm, squishy garter stitch scarf with fringe edging.  Knit it up in a bold color to add some interest to your winter wardrobe.  This is simple knitting at it's best; a perfect project for new knitters or seasoned knitters who want a bit of instant gratification!

Read more about the Penny Scarf and download the PDF pattern in the new pattern section of Elizabeth Street or add it on Ravelry!   Happy knitting!
